The Pantheon of Five are Azuryon’s Guardians and Keepers, representing the fundamental aspects of reality and existence. Known for his love of manifesting amongst mortal, Hokreus, God of Earth and Nature, is revered for his power over the natural world. It was during one of these harvest festivals that Hokreus took a woman’s form, and took congress with one of his High Priests. Their union bore several children, one of whom was Aewynnïtheá Kessathel'Amne, better known as Forest Mother Aewynn. Aewynn is a demigod, one of many known and recorded bastard children of the Pantheon throughout the ages; her antlers are the distinctive feature of her status as a forest demigod, though she is capable of concealing them when necessary.
Most of the demigod children of the Pantheon serve their parents in the stewardship and guidance of Azuryon and her mortal inhabitants, with Aewynn being chosen as one of Peltas’ nature guards. Aewynn walks among mortals in the forests, using her powers to protect the forest dwellers of Peltas (and Azuryon as a whole) from the dangers that threaten them. Her specific focus is the care and preservation of Peltas’ many great forests, born from a special connection to the beating heart of Azuryon’s natural environs. Although the extent of Aewynn's powers is not fully known, her most common appearance to all she aids is the Lantern she carries to guide lost travelers and forest denizens during their times of need. Her unique heritage and incredible abilities make her a valuable ally to those who fight for good.
Aewynn is also mother to Deruvathien Kessathel'Amne, commonly known as Deru Oakwind. Despite deciding to raise her daughter on her own, Aewynn had a wonderful relationship with her filled with love and respect. Due to her duties as the Forest Mother, Aewynn has often had to leave Deru in the hands of her student, the Dwarf Archdruid Falzin Grandri. Nonetheless, her ultimate desire was for her daughter to become a druid, so she could join her in her defense of nature against the forces of darkness. Although Aewynn's primary focus is the protection of the forests, she has been known to undertake her own adventures when her duties as Forest Mother and parent allow it. When it comes to dealing with serious issues, such as matters of the forest or a fight against dark forces, the demigoddess displays wisdom, level-headedness, and a ruthless, terrifying character towards them.
In her personal life, Aewynn is known for her relaxed and quirky personality, in stark contrast to her Forest Mother persona; For instance, she loves wearing common adventuring garb and is often mistaken as one. Adding to the confusion is the fact that she looks almost as young as her daughter Deru and sometimes passes herself as her daughter’s sister when posing as a mortal. Despite her kindly, fun-loving nature, Aewynn is a powerful and fierce protector of the forests and the natural world. Her strength and wisdom make her a formidable ally, and her love for her daughter and desire to see her join her only add to her character's depth and complexity.
